CGI Scan is a powerful and highly configurable barcode scanner. CGI Scan requires a Linea Pro Barcode Scanner / Magnetic Card Reader from Infinite Peripherals, Inc. (http://ipcprint.com/).
With the built-in WebView you can scan barcodes directly into form fields on any website of your choosing using HTTP post requests.
In the configuration you have the option of setting a pre- and suffix for all three tracks on magnetic cards and for any barcode type available from the Linea Pro SDK. Also there’s an option of making key-mapping of ASCII values.
The Auto-config option makes it possible to store all of the above settings, by uploading them to a server using HTTP post request. By pressing the upload button, the user will be asked to re-enter the URL for uploading. You can then set a URL for downloading these settings on another device, so the exact same configuration can be quickly deployed to multiple devices.
The Offline option makes it possible to store scanned barcodes on the iOS device. When you have a connection to the Internet, you will be able to upload the stored barcodes to a predefined URL using HTTP post requests. It’s possible to set a return URL, which will load in the applications WebView.
